AI Director chat
Direct your video in plain words — change scenes, steer the Director mid-task, queue requests and stop a run.
The AI Director is the chat on the left of every Studio project. Tell it what you want in plain words and it does the work — revising concepts, changing scenes, rendering parts of the song — and explains what it's doing.
What you can ask
- Change a scene — "In scene 3, make the lighting colder and add rain on the window."
- Change the direction — "Darker, more cinematic, set at night."
- Move the project on — "Render the rest of the song", "Render the final video".
- Ask about the project — "How many credits do I have?", "How do I download my video?"
The suggestion chips above the message box change with the stage you're on. Chips marked ⚡ spend credits, and always ask you to confirm first.
Point the Director at a scene
- Hover a scene card and press Edit (pencil) — the scene is attached to your next message.
- Or type @ in the message box and pick a scene, character, set, styling or prop.
- Attach up to 3 reference images with the image button next to the send button.
Follow what it's doing
The Director's work folds behind a single line — "Working…", then "Worked for 1m 20s" — so the chat stays readable. Click the line to see each step. Cards in the chat (Analysis, Concepts, Storyboard) take you to that stage when clicked.
When it needs a decision, the line reads Needs your answer — pick an option (or Add your own answer) and press Submit answers.
Steer, queue or stop while it works
You don't have to wait for the Director to finish.
- Type while it's busy and your message is queued — it's sent, in order, when the current turn ends ("Queued · sent in order after this turn").
- Steer a queued message to have it go in after the current step instead ("Steering · goes in after this step"). Cancel steer puts it back in the queue.
- Remove from queue drops a message you no longer need.
- Stop ends the current run.
When you don't have enough credits
If a request costs more than your balance, the Director shows a Not enough credits card — "This needs X credits and you have Y."
- Top Up Credits (or Upgrade Plan on the free plan) opens the top-up options without leaving the chat.
- Generate the N I can afford renders just the scenes your balance covers, when the request is a batch of scene videos.
- Once your balance covers it, the card says Your balance now covers it. — press Continue generating to pick up where you left off.
