Characters & casting

Add your own performers, let AI cast the video, and set up a duet so each voice has a singer.

Characters keep the same faces across every scene. You choose how the video is cast on the setup page, under Characters.

Pick a casting option

Option	Use it when
Choose my characters	You want specific people — yourself, the artist, a friend. Upload photos or pick from your library.
Let AI create the cast	You want Cremi to invent one to three characters that fit the song.
No main character	You want a mood piece. People can still appear — just nobody recurring to follow.

Create a character from a photo

Under Choose my characters, click New (or Create one).
Upload a photo and type a Character name.
Click Create. The new character is selected for this project straight away.

Each character gets a role — main, supporting or background — once Cremi has checked how many people are in the photo. A group photo becomes a single background group.

What a character costs

Creating a character also builds its reference sheet — the set of views Cremi uses to keep the face consistent. Your first sheet is free; after that, the Create button shows the cost before you press it. The photo you uploaded stays the character's picture everywhere in Cremi.

How many characters you can add depends on your plan; the picker tells you when you reach the limit.

Duets

For a male–female duet, add one character for each voice — say, your own photo for one part and a second character for the other. Studio works out who sings each part from the voices it hears and the cast you give it, so a one-gender cast leaves one part without a fitting singer. Casting is a best guess: if the wrong character sings a line, tell the AI Director who should sing it and regenerate that scene.

Common problems

"Add at least one character…" won't go away — make sure you clicked Create on the form; closing it discards the draft.
Asked to sign in while creating — your session expired. Sign in again; the name and photo you entered are kept.
The wrong person sings a line — Studio guesses who sings each line from the voices it hears. Tell the AI Director which character should sing that scene, then regenerate it.
