Storyboard & Blueprint
Review every planned scene, change what you don't like, and fix problems before you pay for video.
Once you choose a concept, Cremi breaks the song into scenes and plans every shot — framing, lighting and action. This is the cheapest stage to change your mind, so review it carefully before generating video.
Depending on your project, this stage is called Storyboard (every scene gets a still image) or Blueprint (reference images only, no stills).
Read a scene card
Each card shows:
- Scene N and its time range in the song (for example 0:15–0:28).
- Frame / Video tabs — the still and, once rendered, the clip.
- A Lipsync or No lipsync chip — whether the scene's singer mouths the lyrics.
- The shot description underneath. Click the arrow to expand the full shot content.
The waveform at the bottom marks where each scene falls in the song. Switch between Timeline (all scene cards) and Spotlight (one scene, full size) beside it.
Change a scene
Hover a card to see its actions:
- Edit (pencil) — attaches the scene to the AI Director chat. Describe the change in plain words — "make the lighting colder and add rain on the window" — and send.
- Zoom — view the image full size.
- Regenerate — a new still for this scene. A Credit Estimate shows the cost first and warns that the current image is replaced; nothing is charged until you press Proceed.
- ⋮ menu — Details, Convert to lipsync / Convert to no-lipsync, Fix lip-sync (once a clip exists), and Download (paid plans or a Download Pass).
Blueprint
When storyboard images are off, the stage is a Blueprint: instead of a still per scene, Cremi designs the reference images every scene draws on.
- Assets — the project's Characters, Sets, Styling and Props, each with a Create image (or Retry) action and a strip of earlier versions.
- Story — the scene-by-scene plan, in Short or Detail view.
Use Reference assets in the header to open the same references from any stage. A Blueprint is faster and cheaper than a full storyboard; you see each scene for the first time when its video renders.
Common problems
- A scene image looks wrong — regenerate just that scene, or describe the fix to the Director. Be concrete: name the subject, the setting and the framing.
- Edit is greyed out — a scene that is rendering can't be edited until it finishes.
- Generate Storyboard opens upgrade options — your balance doesn't cover the storyboard (on the free plan, Generate Blueprint always asks). See Credits & costs.
